The PL-300 exam leads to the Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification. Our PL-300 course is delivered by Microsoft Certified Trainers and follows the official Microsoft curriculum: preparing data, modelling data, visualising and analysing data, and managing and securing Power BI. We combine the official labs with practical exam tips from trainers who teach Power BI regularly.

Use both. Excel is excellent for analysis and calculations. Power BI is built for repeatable reporting, large data sets and dashboards that update automatically. Many delegates start with our Excel training and then move to Power BI.
Comfortable intermediate Excel skills help, especially with tables, formulas and PivotTables, but they are not essential for the beginner course.
It is a practical exam that expects real hands-on experience with Power Query, data modelling and DAX. Delegates who complete our beginner and intermediate courses, or have equivalent experience, are best prepared for the PL-300 course.
Power BI Desktop is free to install. Sharing reports in the Power BI service needs a Pro or Premium licence, which we explain during the course.
